SP Motor Engineers has been in the business of Motor Engineering and Re-manufacturing of diesel and petrol engines for over 25 years.

Our Engineering Department has a fully equipped Machine Shop for all major operations to repair and overhaul engine components such as cylinder heads, engine blocks and crankshafts for all types of diesel and petrol engines.

The core of our business is the Engine Re-manufacturing Department, which repairs and re-builds all types and makes of diesel engines. We are able to source all engine spares parts from our wide local and international network of OEM and aftermarket suppliers. With our Dynamometer Facilities we test the re-manufactured engines, which enables us to offer an extensive warranty of up to 24 months (T&Cs apply) on completely overhauled engines. Our certified technicians ensure quality workmanship to get your business back on the road again as quickly as possible.

To minimise vehicle downtime, we offer a range of Service Exchange Engines of common ADE, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, UD, Isuzu and other engine models.

In addition to engine repair, we operate a dedicated assembly area for our own range of New Diesel and Natural Gas Engines under the CA Components brand mainly used for power generation.

SP DIESEL TECH FUEL INJECTION SPECIALISTS  ●  REPAIR & REFURBISHMENT OF FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS

As Fuel Injection Specialists we offer the Repair and Refurbishment of fuel injection systems of mechanical fuel pumps, injectors and common rail system and unit injectors.

Our calibration and testing equipment uses the latest electronic technology ensuring that all components conform to OEM standards and specifications. Customers are provided with a verification test report.   

Services offered include the reconditioning and testing of the full range of Volvo, Scania, Cummins, ADE, MAN, Mercedes-Benz diesel pumps and common rail systems and unit injectors.

In addition to this all agricultural pumps and injectors are covered such as Massey Ferguson, Perkins, John Deere, Fiat, etc.

The SP Truck & Tractor workshop facilities are unrivalled in the Western Cape. Our combination of mechanical workshop with engine remanufacturing, fuel injection, brake, clutch, propshaft and spare parts division in one facility provide the one-stop shop solution for all your commercial vehicle needs.

Our technical staff are highly trained in all areas of vehicle maintenance and repairs, allowing us to professionally service and repair all types of heavy, medium and light commercial and agricultural vehicles and trailers. 

Our workshop is equipped with specialized tools, including electronic diagnostic computers for the latest MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo Truck models. Offering service and maintenance contracts, SP Truck & Tractor provides reliable and cost-effective service to its clients.

Keeping you on the road is our priority and we provide 24-hour-breakdown vehicles for both mechanical and auto-electrical repairs including computer diagnostics and maintenance.

To complete our all-in-one service we provide for a DEKRA Test & Drive COF station on our premises which has proven to be of great value to our customers. If vehicles are due for roadworthy certification, they get booked into our workshop and we will attend to all issues that could be a problem in obtaining the certificate.

SP TRUCK & TRACTOR  ●  PROPSHAFT & BRAKE RECONDITIONING

SP Truck & Tractor also offers the reconditioning of propshafts, the repair and overhaul of pneumatic brake components, brake shoes and clutches. Furthermore we skim flywheels and brake discs.

The complete offering of propshaft, clutch and brake overhaul and repair all under one roof and next door to the truck workshop guarantees quick turn around times and excellent service at the best prices. Particularly the Overhaul and Re-balancing of Propshafts for all types of cars, bakkies and trucks meets significant demand as we service a large customer base including big fleet operators and OEM workshops in our area.

Because all propshaft, clutch and brake jobs are done in-house, there are no additional mark-ups charged from outside suppliers thus allowing us to offer our customers these services at very competitive prices.

We stock an extensive range of brake and clutch components and, also, provide customers with an after-hours emergency service which includes brake re-bonding, brake drum and disk skimming and any airbrake repairs.

SP Truck & Tractor Parts Division offers a large variety of Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, MAN, Scania and ADE Aftermarket Spare Parts. All of our parts are subject to standard warranty conditions.

If we do not have a part in stock, we will source if for you from our extensive national and international network of suppliers.

We offer a delivery service to the Cape Town and surrounding areas as well as an after hours parts service.

Extended business hours including Saturdays, make us the first call preference for parts and components to all our customers.

Our range of on shelf Service Exchange Components like compressors, turbo chargers etc. ensures a quality and cost effective warranted alternative to the ever increasing new parts prices.
